Description: Blackjack Can Collection. Bolender-5, BB-27, by far the most common 1795 die-marriage, instantly recognizable by the well-known "bar" off left of the portrait. Pale dove-grey provides a suitable backdrop for very bold design elements that show only smooth, consistent wear. Looking closely at the surface, no adjustment marks appear present on either side, but a trio, perhaps, of modest pin scratches cross over the hair boundary off to the left. A great example that satisfies reasonable expectations of what "original surface" means for early dollars.
