Description:	K&S Consignment. KM# 10a. Mintage: 1000. Some sources state the mintage as 610 pieces, but a letter shown to the cataloger was written by Barney L. Phillip (President of Phillips Mint of America) states that in fact, 1000 pieces were struck. "In addition we struck 1,000 cupro-nickle (sp) coins with a face value of 100 Pataca which were struck for the Government to circulate. However at the last minute, actually the day before the Grand Prix, the Governor decided not to circulate the 1,000 coins and we took them off the market.//They are perhaps more in demand for numismatic collectors then (sp) the Proof coins, but the fact is, none have been offered on the market and none can legally be represented to be a coin of the realm, a circulated or un-circulated coin."
