Description: Collector appeal: "A+" for aesthetic and historic completeness. The consignor has provided some fascinating documentation that shows when his great-grandparents purchased this $2.50 commemorative gold pieces at the Panama-Pacific Exposition on October 15th, 1915. Even though the coin ended up being certified by NGC as grading only MS-63, It is certainly very unusual to locate such original documentation, including the famous inner envelope (extremely-fine), outer protective envelope (very fine, extensive writing), and shipping envelope (very- good), all of which are included in this terrific consignment. Documentation has been astutely framed by the consignor with the actual coin included in its NGC holder. Absolutely fabulous history to go along with this consignment!!
