Description: The F. Raphael Collection. A quartet of early nickels deserves close attention as there may well be substantial hidden value herein. They might be speedily described as follows: 1883 shield nickel, RPD (AU-50, nice doubling on the date, slightly prooflike between the gules), 1883 "no cents" (MS-62, fully prooflike but showing very delicate hairlines in the obverse fields), 1883 "no cents" (MS-61, semi-prooflike), and 1883 "with cents" (MS-63). Flashy pieces in this four coin lot.
