Description: Sheldon-166 (style-2 hair, large 8) is not identified on the slab, but is an easy die-marriage to attribute because of the obverse "whisker" just 'neath the chin, as well as the huge die crack arcing over the reverse lower left How unfortunate that an old staple scratch in the obverse left field is so distracting! This would otherwise be a knockout 1798, showing handsome, stately mahogany-brown patina throughout and the lack of any other mentionable abrasions. The reverse is rotated some 45 degrees.
