Description: The F. Raphael Collection. Sheldon-24 can be easily attributed by the depressed hair detail beneath the ear, as well as by the distinctive elevation of the so-called "apple cheek". The die-marriage is also known for shallow detail on the reverse, with that side presented here showing ONE CENT with only near-legibility. A nicer planchet displays highly appealing, wholesome medium-brown color but also some distractions. Close examination reveals curious "dimples" - tiny dark patchy dots that were perhaps present as-struck.
