Description:	The F. Raphael Collection. An almost unfathomable level of eye-appeal assuredly makes this 1901 Maundy set requisite viewing in today's auction. The coins have obviously been carefully preserved within their protective case, which itself is in unusually fine condition for the era. 1-pence, 2-pence, 3-pence, and 4-pence comprise the selection, with each showing off a vivid display of luminous color and shining, pristine luster. Indeed, the 2-pence obverse and 1-pence and 3-pence reverse appear somewhat prooflike (by U.S. standards) and only add to the unlimited appeal. One of the true jewels in today's auction and well-deserving of the Scotsman Cataloger's Choice award.
