Description: An enormous jump in value for 1895-O occurs above AU-50 as most Morgan dollar collectors know, but a sizable rise in cost may also be found between the extremely-fine and about-uncirculated levels. Thus, it is imperative to make sure one agrees with the grade, even when proffered by a third-party company (in this case, the dollar is in a small, old ANACS holder). There is much luster to support an AU assessment in this case, especially on the reverse, where fully two-thirds of the shimmering cartwheel effect remains. Although modestly worn, central details have not been displaced by much flatness, as Liberty still shows some semblance of separate strands over the ear, and the eagle retains most of his breast feathers.
