Description: RPM shows as a distinct CC/CC on the reverse. For the connoisseur who enjoys gold coins of spectacular vintage quality, this is a jaw-dropping gorgeous "gem about-uncirculated" Carson City. The allure of that "CC" alone is enough to entice strong bids, but the quality amounts to so much more than just "what's in a mintmark". Utterly delightful royal gold toning pervades the outer reaches of each side, settling in very well with the charming, swirling aged yellow coloration that predominates, and an occasional crumble of darker tone peppers the surface, mostly on the reverse. It's impossible to imagine a look that could supersede the unimpeachable never-cleaned appearance granted here! Impeccable sharpness delivers essentially every bit of the original as-struck design elements, affected only by trivial friction flung into the fields. Delicate die cracks connect several stars.
