Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1801 XF details/as described
Lot Number: 562
Description: O-101 shows small die lumps on the reverse, distinguishing use of that die against the scarcer O-102 die-marriage. In terms of grade, this example features every bit of the eye-appeal that would place it at or very close to the extremely-fine level, including slightly flashy luster still remaining in isolated areas. Medium grey color will appeal as well, although modest darker carbon flecks gravitate toward the obverse right. The planchet was originally made with three small depressions in front of Liberty's nose, but unfortunately, someone subsequently attempted to scratch out the defects, creating an effect that is a bit unpleasant under close examination.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
