Description: NGC denotes "flat rim" to distinguish against the so-called "wire rim" examples, but of course, all are simply the same type struck off of dies of differing age. As always expected of this extremely popular type, the strike is profoundly delineated in every possible way, since Liberty's face even shows detail at her lips, and the difficult right (observed) knee has been brought up to full relief. Some minor, stray ticks on a few of the sun's rays probably denote the grade, although a slightly rubbed area may be detected in the obverse right field, no doubt the result of past storage. A marvelous and supremely attractive example for just MS-63, and assured of commanding strong bids.
