Description: Robert Michaels Collection. Sheldon-11(b or c) (R.3), "vine-and-bars" being "a" of course. The cataloger could not discern "a" versus "b" due to being unable to examine the edge. An attractive leather-brown example with mahogany accents on the raised devices, the extreme edges on either side also display additional coppery exposure. Minor to modest surface granularity is textured to such a fine matte level that it scarcely distracts from the bold presentation. An outstanding example for major type or date entry purposes.
