Description: 48 graded MS-66+, 33 higher at NGC. Powerfully struck example like this are virtually impossible to find for 1936-S at such a high level of preservation, and this half-dollar also floats out extremely attractive satin luster surrounded by a thin, subtle copper ring. While not truly fully struck, most of the head detail can be seen and a loupe finds excellent delineation and separation of Liberty's thumb. A blistering, essentially superb gem with a pristine right field.
