Description: 3 graded MS-62, zero higher at NGC. KM#XTn4, R.6(?), Republic Necessity, showing the bust of Baron Digeon facing right on the obverse. Semi-prooflike overall, significant cameo effect persists despite many tiny abrasions from past careless storage. A very rare issue struck in copper-nickel and engraved by Charle Trottin. Digeon & Co have been called a huge cattle endeavor belonging to Digeon, that also exploited the island's large nickel ore deposits, located in present day Kaala-Gomen, a commune in the north province of New Caledonia.
