Description:	Gadsden, Alabama Collection. The cataloger estimates APPROXIMATELY well over 500 coins in 1.5 x 1.5 staple flips, curiously accompanied by approximately 140 British Commonwealth pennies, loose in the box. This should bring the total to approximately 650 individual pieces. The loose pennies appear to range in date from 1917 (earliest seen) to the 1960s, with concentration in the 1920s - 40s. Oddball pieces like 1952 Ireland (BU/red) and 1963 New Zealand (BU/red) were seen. Coins in the 1.5 x 1.5 flips have not been stripped down, which is to say that a considerable number of silver pieces are present. A wide ranging group of countries represented includes Argentina, China, Congo, Cuba, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Guinea, Norway, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saint Thomas, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, South Africa, Straits Settlements, Sweden, and Venezuela plus some in between. Many Canada and Great Britain items were noted, many silver. All carded coins appear to be legibly identified and almost all priced, which leads one to believe the wholesale value could be thousands of dollars.
