Description: 79 graded MS-64, 5 higher at NGC. There is no denying strike weakness at the head and hand, but these two areas are near-always softly struck for the key 1919-D half-dollar. Regardless, the surface still shows off bright aluminum-white luster despite fragile patina induced by long-term storage. A breath of greyish blue has begun to form just inside the obverse rim. Aside from small and rather superficial bag abrasions, the whole surface remains generally free from incursion.
