Description: Bert Davies Collection. The old and apparently no-longer-used ANACS "UDM" (ultra deep mirror prooflike) designation pops up on rare occasions on older holders, with 1885-O silver dollars seemingly one of the more frequently seen beneficiaries. It is a highly desirable specification if found today. This example features phenomenal contrast, but it likely took on holder-induced toning which may now be suppressing reflectivity a bit. The reverse mirrors are a trifle deeper than those of the obverse, but either way, the cataloger has confirmed at least five feet of reflectivity from either side.
