Description: Bert Davies Collection. Population: 10 at NGC. Extremely rare in GSA format, the 1900-O is otherwise a well-known bag-common date. Not only is this a remarkably elusive entity, but the strike seems quite a bit better than typical for New Orleans. The coin might have qualified for a slightly higher grade if not for a shiny linear abrasion on the cheek, as the fields appear essentially clean and the reverse approaches gem status all by itself. An impressive and wholly unusual opportunity for the specialist.
