Description: Bert Davies Collection. Population: 12 at NGC. Predictably, the grade gets determined by a few too many abrasions and luster grazes in the field, outside the primary focal point of the central devices. Decently well struck, the design elements still did not quite achieve perfection. Generally white, patchy patina encroaches upon the reverse. All these grading comments will likely matter not at all to the collector who recognizes how rare the 1890-S is within an hard shell holder. (box and certificate included)
