Description: 2 graded MS-65+, 11 higher at NGC. "1914" to the casual collector means little with regard to rarity within the ten-dollar eagle series, but scarcely a dozen examples exceed the gem grade level at NGC. Here is an extremely attractive example that features a butter-smooth obverse with decidedly peaceful luster shimmering across the obverse, while the reverse shows minor copper-gold toning towards the bottom. Both sides were struck from fresh dies and received a healthy dose of matte texture. While the cheek appears essentially clean, a closer look finds a few subtle linear abrasions across the lower jaw and upper neck.
