Lot Title: 1936-D PCGS MS-66
Lot Number: 911
Description: 160 graded MS-66, 65 higher at PCGS. Long considered one of the most difficult issues in the series, a pristine 1936-D quarter should exhibit bold luster and strike at top grade levels, and the reason so few qualify is because these coins almost seem to have fallen off the dies already downgraded to MS-62 due to faulty luster and flawed vibrancy. This coin blatantly defies the norm and exhibits fabulously bold, frosted surface texture and above-average sharpness. Nearly white and just as bright as a 1936-D ever gets.
