Lot Title: 1882 $5 Brown Back and 1882 $5 Value Back, both Quincy, IL Charter #2519 - F
Lot Number: 48
Description: Polka Dots Collection. The Ricker National Bank of Quincy, Illinois. A pair of 1882 Quincy notes comprises this offering. Quincy is not a specially tough bank, but first is Fr#574, a valueback that is quite challenging off of this Illinois river town. Accompanying is Fr#477, hand signed by H(enry) F(rank) J(oseph) Ricker Jr., son of the founder of the bank. Although some brown staining droops over the to edge of the valueback, each should be considered a problem-free fine for this two note lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
