Description: Conrad Sophasath Collection. The First National Bank of Amboy, Illinois. The Great Depression saw the demise of the Amboy bank on October 2, 1934. To the cataloger's knowledge, this specific brownback is both the earliest note and the highest grade specimen extant, and it also features terrific, sharp brown signatures. Even for type purposes, the appearance nears ideal for extremely-fine as it includes lovely, broad margins.
