Description: Offshore Technician Consignment. KM#4, Nueva Guatemala mint. Lengthy adjustment marks on the obverse as-struck. Wonderful in hand, the surface provides considerable pewter-grey with graphite inflections that somehow still permits hints of semi-prooflike brilliance to shine through -- all despite a couple of points of circulation. The usual late dies show a crack on the reverse extending through "NG". This issue is famous in part for the assayer's AE being overstamped upon the pre-existing, but also for being the final entry of the 8-reales series for the Central American Republic.
