Description: Gadsden, Alabama Collection. Constantine IV Pogonatus, Constantinople mint, 2nd officina. With cross potent on steps between Heraclius and Tiberius. Apparently made between 669 and 674, and relatively well struck per NGC. The cataloger agrees as both sides seem rather well centered and retain considerable detail and luster. NGC mentions "clipped", a very common characteristic of these popular and undervalued Byzantine coins.
