Lot #: Go
Lot Title: Ancient Greece - Corinthia, Corinth AR stater, 4th century BC, NGC AU 4/5 + 2/5.
Lot Number: 103
Description: Gadsden, Alabama Collection. 8.55 grams indicated on the slab suggests a slightly higher weight flan, which may explain why the portrait of Pegasus rests so beautifully centered on the facing side. Athena's portrait falls off the upper portion of the reverse side just a little. This coin displays outstanding sharpness overall that has been flattened ever so slightly by minor wear. In tiny letters, perhaps so as to understate minor effects, NGC also states "brushed" suggesting that the coin may be brighter than usual after being gently conserved.
