Description: Ms. Anna's Collection. One of the quintessential type dates for the Morgan dollar series, along with 1880-S - 1882-S, of course, the 1879-S proves readily available through the superb gem grade level. Here is an example that flaunts extremely attractive, slightly semi-prooflike luster and a nice touch of cameo effect on either side. Delicate rim toning has begun to arch over the obverse, and through the bottom rim of the reverse, as if this coin had originally been on a no-line NGC holder. Trivial surface grazes only, and only in limited number, claim the grade.
