Description: Light layering of hazy hues cling to the surfaces of each example within this 1942 six piece United States proof set. Very mild toning that is typical of the era is noticed throughout, with the only real exception being a more heavily and attractively toned 1942-P Jefferson nickel. This set has been carefully transplanted into a Capital plastics holder and is looking for a new home (ck).
