Description:	Yours Truly Collection. Crawford-475/1a, Sydenham-1019a. Roman Republic (509 BC - 27 BC), Gaius Caesar dictator tertium (third time), medallic alignment. OBV: border of dots around legend C CAES DIC TER, itself around draped and winged bust of Victory facing right. REV: border of dots around legend L PLANC PRAEF VRB, itself around praefericulum (the sacrificial jug). An unusually nice, rounded flan received good impressions from the dies, with an obverse fully loaded onto the flan including the entire beaded border. Up to 20% of the beading on the reverse falls off the left side of the flan. ANACS graded the coin only MS-61 and the cataloger agrees that it deserves to be considered mint-state, the overall grade affected by trivial laminations and some of the minute carbon always seen. Absolutely resplendent in bright golden hues.
