Description: Longtime belief was that "R" indicates regular paper, and "S" refers to special paper, and both were delivered June 20th, 1944 as part of the war effort. However, recent research has suggested that "R"ayon and "S"ilk are the actual references intended, both materials being important to the production of wartime parachutes, which required a considerable amount of silk. Two note lot.
