Description: B. Honeywell Collection. Lustrous fields, beautiful tones, and strong strikes aptly describes all eight examples in this Wayte Raymond album page group lot of exclusively Capped Bust halves. Nearly identical surfaces further attest to the age of this particular grouping that includes the following issues: an 1824 O-109 RPD (AU, cleaned), an 1825 O-102 (AU, cleaned), an 1827 Square Base 2 O-114 (BU, cleaned), an 1828 Square 2 Small 8 O-112 (AU, cleaned), an 1828 Square 2 Small 8 O-115 (BU, cleaned), an 1829 O-119 (BU, cleaned), an 1829/7 O-102 (AU, cleaned), and an 1830 O-110 (BU, cleaned). Similar degrees of cleaned surfaces suggest that the prior owner may have done this at a time when it was much more common place to do so (ck).
