Description: Junior Decker Collection. 69 graded MS-65, 5 higher at PCGS. 1928 may be key to the series at most grades, but when found so close to the pinnacle of quality at PCGS, 1928-S becomes far scarcer than its Philadelphia counterpart and tends to remain in strong hands. Thus, the best pieces come to market very infrequently.

Here is a wonderfully bright and shimmering white example that needs few words to describe obvious, lustrous quality. Although slightly shallow in terms of strike at the central areas -- almost always the case for '28-S' -- the dies die bring up delightful peripheral details, including an especially bold date. The surface appears completely untoned and pristine while light coppery accents show on the reverse.
