Description: Rum'n'Cola Collection. VAM-4. The scarcest of all twentieth century Morgan silver dollars, 1901-S has long deserved status as a semi-key to the series. NGC calls this only MS-62, even though the surface appears unusually devoid of the contact expected of the grade, nor does the luster seem deficient in the slightest. Furthermore, given the wide range of strike quality for the date, there just isn't much to complain of with regard to sharpness. Probably a bargain for a sub-choice bid, some collector will be delighted to add this off-white example to his or her finer collection.
