Description: Samuel Lawrence Consignment. Minimally abraded, the entire surface exhibits a very fair level of aluminum-grey brightness, surrounded by ashy accents near the borders. Strike quality seems about average for the date, with slight weakness over the ear due also, in part, to very light wear. A surprising percentage of 1889-CC dollars come with prooflike qualities, yet even with five points of wear, one could infer that this was a fully cartwheeled example when it fell off the dies.
