Description: Rum'n'Cola Collection. 45 graded MS-67, 4 graded MS-67 "star", 2 higher at NGC. While hardly any silver dollar can be called "common" at the superb gem grade level, the 1883-O survived in such vast quantities that it offers a terrific alternative to the usual S-mint dollars within a type set. An excellent strike shifts the eye-appeal into overdrive for this silver-bright beauty, missing perfection only at the very center of the obverse; the reverse picked up tremendous definition. The grade almost seems to under-describe the astonishing level of quality seen on both sides -- absolutely no contact affects the fields nor touches the cheek, nor are any hairlines visible under a strong lamp. A pure, quicksilver example that handles every conceivable kind of representation for a collector.
