Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1882-CC PCGS MS-64
Lot Number: 621
Description: Order Through Chaos Collection. VAM-3B, or possibly intermediate between die-state "A" and "B", which would be curious since the coin was obviously struck off of very recently repolished dies. And for most collectors, that will be what appeals most as both sides exceptionally deep mirrors -- better than true DMPL, but not quite as phenomenal as an ever-rare UDMPL. Because of the profound level of energy reflected back by those amazing mirrors, the portraits stand out in extreme contrast, yet cartwheel luster still permeates the devices. An extremely well struck coin that is going to see some very high bids challenging for the rights of ownership.
