Description: Tsesari Marc Collection. Commendable effort shows in the acquisition of mostly better-detailed pieces for this partial set of half-cents by major variety. Highlights through 1807 include: 1794 (Fine/burnished, some darker surface roughness), 1797 "1 above 1" (Fine/some microporosity, yet unexpectedly nice color), 1800 (VG/minor roughness), 1803 (Fine/hairline), 1804 plain 4, stems (VF/excessive contact marks), 1804 plain 4, stemless (VF), 1804 cross 4, stems (VG), 1804 cross 4, stemless (Fine/slightly cleaned), 1804 spiked chin (Fine/slightly cleaned). 1805 medium 5 stemless (Fine/obverse mark/light roughness), 1805 large 5, stems (XF/scratched), 1806 small 6, stemless (Fine), 1806 large 6, stems (XF/isolated microporosity), and 1807 (VF). Additional highlights, some listed here with details only include: 1808 (VG), 1809 circle in 0 (VF), 1809/6 (XF details), 1809 (AU details), 1810 (VG), 1811 (Fine details), 1826 (AU, minor encrustation), 1828 "13 stars" (XF), 1828 "12 stars" (VF details), 1832, 1834 and 1835 (all XF), 1837 token (XF), and later dates with XF details, mostly problem free except for 1851 (AU/whizzed).
