Description: Virtually nothing within numismatics offers the variety and diversity that is easily discovered within a Type collection. A wide expanse of different issues fill this fifty-six piece collection that is a complete but truncated 19th century type set housed in a Littleton coin album. Only a Draped Bust half-dime is missing with examples ranging widely from About Good through Extra Fine. Unfortunately, several of the scarcer types are filled with examples that have been holed giving this collection the “poor man’s” vibe. Among the most notable examples are the 1803 Draped Bust half-cent (AG), the 1802 Draped Bust cent (AG), the 1858 Three Cent Silver (XF, bent), the 1830 Capped Bust half-dime (XF, AT), the 1798 Draped Bust dime (VG, holed), the 1875-S Twenty Cent piece (F), the 1805 Draped Bust quarter (AG+), the 1838 Capped Bust half VF, rim bruise), and the 1799 Draped Bust dollar (F, holed).
