Lot Title: 1829 PCGS MS-62 (green label)
Lot Number: 667
Description: Nicholas Jackson Collection. Overton-115, "small letters". The second "T" of STATES was punched in too high compared to its neighbors, and the seventh star on the obverse points to the center of the leading edge of the headband. Graphite-grey predominates over the surface, yet permits a considerable amount of mint luster to shine through the patina. Some unimportant carbon spots may be located on either side. A fabulously original example with a decent, concise strike, plenty of powdery beige-orange, grey and rose-gold endow much of the surface, surrounded by brilliant indigo-blue album color. An example that many viewers will see as being somewhat nicer than the assigned MS-62 grade.
