Lot Title: 1817 O-107 ANACS MS-60
Lot Number: 619
Description: Nicholas Jackson Collection. Overton-107 (R.3) attributes quickly once the small die line connecting "BE" on the headband has been discovered. Obviously a fantastic example from the standpoint of visual allure, broad, concentric rings of cinnamon-magenta, chartreuse-cobalt and crimson-grey look much like album coloration, although these old ANACS slabs have long been legendary for creating just such a tantalizing palette. Needle-sharp details on both sides suggest the heights of the early mint's art and full luster assures at least the UNC grade level if the coin were to (foolishly) be crossed to another grading service. An obvious candidate for Scotsman Cataloger's Choice Award!
