Description: Dabble Collection. 42 graded MS-64 DMPL, 6 higher at PCGS. Extremely rare with a proper DMPL designation, the 1878 7/8 TF is virtually non-existent any finer than the grade level proffered here. An incredibly well-preserved example for MS-64, the fields have managed to elude most signs of contact -- quite a feat for a DMPL silver dollar. As always, the entire design shows profound striking sharpness and bears up well to examination. Slightly milky haze breathes over the surface and suggests that at least in the recent past, this coin has not been dipped or chemically ill-treated.
