Description: The Blackhawk Collection. 299 graded MS-65, 12 higher at NGC. 1929 was the final year for both the series and the denomination and collectors frequently target the date for type representation. Lavish mint luster graces the surface of this gem, which also discloses a fair amount of chartreuse-gold toning and some subtle carrot iridescence along the obverse lower right. The population report exposes MS-65 as being not particularly rare for the date, but it does represent the highest meaningfully available grade since even the addition of a "plus" reaches into the "very rare" stratosphere.
