Lot Title: 1902 $5 Blue Seal Date Back - Bosworth, MO Charter #7573 - F
Lot Number: 19
Description: The First National Bank of Bosworth, Missouri. From this tiny town way up in the central north of Missouri comes this rare note of which only eleven large have been reported. Signatures have faded almost completely away but at least the ink remains generally strong. The creases have caused faint splits into the top and bottom of the design. Undoubtedly, the most famous resident of Bosworth was Barbara Marx Sinatra (nee Blakely), who was married to Zeppo Marx from 1959 -- 1973 and later to Frank Sinatra, in the longest marriage for both, from 1976 -- 1998. She was the steadying force in his career during the resurgence of his popularity in 1980 with the familiar hit song, "New York, New York".

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
