Description: The First National Bank of Elkhart, Indiana. An ornate "circus poster" back is what makes this such a popular type note, as only the earliest brown back fives are so endowed. Elkhart is considered one of the very difficult banks and this example features marvelous, ultra-sharp signatures. The cataloger suspects this note to be from the Power Collection of $5 brown backs, sold in 2006.
