Description: The First National Bank of Du Quoin, Illinois. Rare for large notes, only four were known prior to the recent discovery of this $10 plain back. PMG calls it Fine-15 although the consignor expected a VF grade that was likely denied by noticeable staining on both sides. The top and bottom edges show some noticeable wear joined by a number of tiny chips along the top margin. The moderate level of wear does not deny excellent, pinpoint-sharp signatures.
