Description: Extensive -- insofar as "extensive" can apply to such a diminutive coin -- frosty luster infuses the entire surface and creates an excellent backdrop for very good eye-appeal, even if the date has been softly struck on the reverse of the 1853. 1873 "open 3" displays the vigorous luster that the type has been known for, and some enjoyable peppermint-grey toning infiltrates the fields to establish ample visual appeal as well. An excellent type pairing for this two coin lot.
