Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1853-O Arrows and Rays XF-40, and an 1883 VF-30 CAC, both PCGS
Lot Number: 984
Description: Die-state study is not well-known to the cataloger, but the WB-101 attribution for 1853-O was surely struck from an earlier reverse die since the extensive network of obverse die cracks shows plainly, but the reverse is missing a radial die crack through the final "A". 1883 gains its fame from a paltry mintage of eight-thousand pieces, and this is a beautiful, original piece that exhibits a complete LIBERTY, albeit with a weak "E". Two coin lot.
