Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1929-S MS-64FH, and a 1930-S MS-63FH, both PCGS
Lot Number: 943
Description: T. W. J. Collection. A textbook example of 1929-S, the obverse shows very good details against a somewhat unfocused reverse. It appears San Francisco sometimes had to resort to mating worn reverse dies against better obverse dies throughout the run. 1930-S offers a substantially better strike -- indeed, better detailing overall than is usually seen for this curiously difficult date (with a full head). PCGS did not list a mint error, but a prominent strikethrough shows just right of the shield. Two coin lot.
