Description: Tobacco Road Collection. Strong details will cry out loudly to many bidders who recognize the opportunity here: after only 1896-S, 1901-S and 1913-S, the 1909-O is the fourth-rarest entry into the series in collector grades at very-fine and above, and certainly desirable at the AU level of sharpness. The surface exhibits minimal luster (if any), subdued by apricot-grey surrounded by hints of blue. Additional, curious shades of grey streak down the obverse in limited quantity, but none of this diminishes the bold details that remain after an exceptional strike and limited circulation.
