Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1859 MS-62, and an 1871 AU-53, both PCGS
Lot Number: 647
Description: Ideal tan color suggests slightly better quality for 1859 than the assigned MS-62 grade, but perhaps one or two (or three) too many minute nicks on the cheek account for the conservative PCGS grade. Only brief, smooth wear affects 1871, this coin struck on nicer planchet than usual for the date, and even showing hints of pinkish-red luster with persistent examination. Two coin lot.
